Hiking Mount Bisoke in Rwanda takes about 4-6 hours depending on your hiking pace. The main highlight of the hike to the mountain summit are the panoramic views of the caldera lake and park surroundings including views of some of the volcanic mountains in the Virunga Massif.

Detailed Itinerary for 1 Day Rwanda Bisoke Hike Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Ruhengeri for Mount Bisoke Hike and Transfer Back to Kigali

Our company representative will come to pick you after the breakfast. Pickup time from your hotel in Kigali will be at 4:00am. The briefing is at 7 am. Your guide will give you highlights of specific details about the Mt. Bisoke hike. The hike can take anything from 4-6 hours or more depending on your hiking pace.

Mount Bisoke Hike

Once you reach the summit, you will get to view the caldera lake and also have a panoramic view of the park and some of the Virunga Volcanoes like Mount Karisimbi and Muhabura. You will later descend the mountain and return back to base where you will find your driver guide waiting to take you back to Kigali with lunch enroute. Drop-off at the airport or your hotel in Kigali
