Detailed Itinerary for 5 Days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari
Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari will begin with a pickup from your accommodation in Arusha. Then you’ll go to Tarangire for a full-day game drive across the park, complete with a picnic lunch. Watch elephant herds of up to 300 dig for water in the dry riverbed, as wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests, and elands congregate around the dwindling lagoons. This park draws migrating animals during the dry season and serves as an elephant refuge.
Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation.
Day 2: Transfer from Tarangire to Serengeti National Park- Game Drive
On day 2 of your 5 Days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari, following an early breakfast at your lodge or camp, your driver-guide will transport you from the camp to Serengeti National Park. Explore the Serengeti’s huge, open grasslands and beautiful sky on a 4-hour game drive, followed by a sunset drive to see additional wildlife action. Your accommodation will provide dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Central Serengeti
On the third day of your 5 days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari, you will depart with your packed lunch for a full day game drive in the central region of Serengeti National Park. You will get an opportunity to see large herds of wildlife including elephants, zebras, buffalos, wildebeests, antelopes, lions and leopards to mention but a few.
Dinner will be served at your lodge or camp.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Ngorongoro
On the fourth day of your 5 days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, wake up early for a wildlife drive across Serengeti National Park, where you could see wildebeests, lions, elephants, leopards, impalas, gazelles, cheetahs, and potentially even the wildebeest migration. After brunch, pack your baggage and go for Ngorongoro, with an en-route wildlife drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro. You’ll arrive late in the evening at your lodge or camp, which is positioned on the crater rim, for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Crater Drive and Transfer Back to Arusha
On the last day of your 5 days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari after an early breakfast, you will drive directly to the crater bottom for a 6-hour game drive. Keep an eye out for the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and perhaps a black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Ngoitoktok Spring, where you may see hippos, giraffes, warthogs, baboons, and a variety of birds. After roughly 6 hours of exploration, scale the crater rim and begin your journey back to Arusha, including a wildlife drive through Mto wa Mbu hamlet. In the evening, we will drop you off at your Arusha hotel.
