Detailed Itinerary for 7 Days Best of Tanzania Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Game Drive and Walking safari
You shall be met by your driver guide at the airport, and be briefed about your safari. Thereafter, you shall proceed for a transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Crater from where you shall enjoy a game drive in the park as well as a walking safari where you shall get an opportunity to come up close with various animals in the park, in the guidance of a ranger guide. Enjoy amazing views of the crater rim.
You will return to your lodge after the walking safari for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Empakaai Crater Walk
After breakfast at your lodge of stay, you shall embark on a descent of the crater on a game drive around the Ngorongoro Crater in search for wildlife species at the crater like eland, zebras, warthogs, wildebeest, buffalos, and elephants among others. You will also enjoy the beautiful views around the crater and also look out for flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi.
Have your picnic lunch at the rim of the crater. At 2:00 pm descend to the crater lake at floor of the cater. You can walk around the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery with flamingos at the shore of the lake. Animals like monkeys and bushbuck can be spotted sometimes. Ascend to rim of the crater before 6:00 pm. The walking is approximately 1 hour one way.

Day 3: Empakaai to Acacia
After your breakfast, load the donkeys and start your walking to Empakaai bush camp through Nairobi Maasai village. On this day you can have a beautiful view of the active volcano Oldoinyo Lengai, lake Natron, the rift valley escarpment and Maasai village. Have your picnic lunch at Acacia camp or any suitable place recommended by your walking guide.

Day 4: Acacia to Natron
Early in the morning after your breakfast, 6:30 am load the donkeys and leave to Natron. On this day, you will be descending the Gregorian rift valley escarpment. You will have a clear view of the rift valley and a closer view of the volcano and the lake Natron. The scenery will make you speechless with the beauty of the landforms. Arrive at the bottom of the volcano where you will be picked up to drive to the public campsite at lake Natron. Have your lunch at the camp.

After your lunch at 2:30 pm walk to Engaresero waterfall where can refresh by swimming in a natural Jacuzzi. Walking 45 minutes one way depending on your pace. At 5:00 pm drive to the lake Natron where is the home of flamingos among other beautiful birds.
Dinner and an overnight stay at your selected lodge.
Day 5: Compensate your Carbon Footprint, Ol Doinyo Lengai Ascent
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge. After, get to plant a tree to compensate for your Carbon Footprint. Plant a moringa tree and later return to the lodge and relax. Lunch and dinner will be at the lodge.
The climb of this active volcano takes place at night. Departure from the camp is around 11 pm. You will start climbing around midnight, and so will be at the top around 5am. You can rest while waiting for the beautiful sunrise to finally admire the wide plain of Serengeti that will stretch in front of you.

The descent must be done before it gets too hot, because the sun heats up very quickly the slopes composed of volcanic ash. The round trip takes 10-11 hours. Dinner will be served at your lodge.
Day 6: Descent, Drive to Tarangire National Park
You will descend and return to the lodge at approximately 11am. Freshen up, enjoy a late breakfast. Thereafter, check out and with a packed lunch proceed on a transfer to Tarangire National Park, with a Mto wa Mbu stop en-route for souvenir shopping if you will.
Once at the lodge, check in and relax. Dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 7: Tarangire National Park Game Drive and Departure
On this last day of your Tanzania safari, you shall wake up as early as 6am for an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, enjoy a wild game viewing experience before the sunrise. Look out for other animals in the park like zebras, giraffes, lions, large herds of elephants which the park is famous for, and so much more.
Enjoy a bush breakfast at a select area, and another game viewing opportunity as you leave the park driving back to the airport arriving in time to check in for your flight. This brings your safari to an end.
