8 Days Explore Rwanda Tours: This an 8-day Rwanda wildlife safari includes visits to all three Rwandan national parks. You begin with the gorgeous Akagera national park, and then drive on to Nyungwe forest national park, and finally to Volcanoes national park, which is home to mountain gorillas. As you weave your way into Rwanda, take in the various scenery. The parks contain a combination of Savannah, woodland, and hilly terrain, providing you a diverse view of Rwanda.

8 Days Explore Rwanda Tour
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Following your arrival, you will be welcomed by our company representative/driver guide and transfer you to your hotel in Volcanoes national park arriving Ruhengeri for dinner and overnight stay at lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Volcanoes NP Rwanda.
Wakeup to an early morning breakfast and report to the park headquarters for briefing and allocation of Gorilla trekking groups. Later, you will head into the cold and misty forested slopes of Virunga national park for your Gorilla trek.
The trek can be anywhere between 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the Gorillas and upon finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to see and take photos after which you exit the forest.
Meet your driver / guide and transfer back to the lodge. If you feel strong, you may opt for a cultural tour at Iby’iwachu Cultural tour. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Lake Kivu (Kibuye)
Breakfast will be served early and drive back to the park headquarters for briefing and Golden Monkey trekking. The procedure is the same as Gorilla trekking but lasts only 3 to 5 hours and return to the lodge to freshen up and transfer to Lake Kivu for dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest and afternoon canopy walk
Wake up to a tasty breakfast, check out of your hotel and embark on your transfer to Nyungwe forest national arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you will go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk, a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to see the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you. Before night fall, you will return to the hotel for dinner as above. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Transfer to Kigali.
Enjoy breakfast and go for briefing before entering the forest, searching for the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are the easy to spot, as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimp tracking usually takes about 3 hours. You will then exit and connect to Kigali for dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Transfer to Akagera and evening game drive
You will be met by your driver guide after breakfast for your transfer to Akagera national park where you will arrive in time to embark on the late afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see game like hippopotamuses, Crocodiles and many bird species that live around the lake and the surrounding swamps. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Day 7: Early morning game drive and Afternoon Ihema boat trip
Rise up early and go for a game drive with great anticipation of seeing the different animals which rise early to graze and predators looking for their early morning kill. After the game drive, head back to your lodge for lunch and rest for a while. After you have rested well, meet up with your guide and head out for an afternoon Ihema boat cruise. Get a chance to watch wildlife along the banks, as well as a variety of bird species around the lake area. Later drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight as previous night.
Day 8: Explore the Northern Circuit and Transfer to Kigali.
Wake up at leisure and have relaxed breakfast at your lodge. You will then meet up with your driver/guide and drive out of Akagera National Park while exploring the northern sector of the park. Have lunch (own cost) enroute to Kigali City; with an optional city tour once you arrive in Kigali. Have your driver/guide drop you off at a location of your choice which could be a hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport where you will board your flight back home.
