The Diverse and Spectacular of Nyungwe Forest National park : Nyungwe National Park is located in the southeast corner of Rwanda and includes more than 1,000 square kilometers of forest. The park is home to more than 1,500 plant and animal species. It is a world-renowned wildlife sanctuary and, as such, home to extraordinarily rich and varied flora and fauna. In this blog post, I will discuss the flora and fauna of Nyungwe National Park in Rwanda.

There are two main Eco zones in Nyungwe National Park: the lower forest zone and the upper canopy zone. The lower forest zone is made up of lowland forest characterized by dense underbrush and small trees. In the lower forest zone, you can see a variety of animals including elephants, zebras, buffaloes, monkeys, baboons, and chimpanzees.

The upper canopy zone consists of forests higher up in the mountains and includes larger trees and thicker undergrowth. In this zone, you are likely to see mountain gorillas, as well as birds such as kingfishers and hornbills.

There are also a number of waterfalls in the upper canopy zone which are very beautiful and very picturesque. Visitors can also visit the bamboo forest, which is located on the lower slopes of Mount Karisimbi. This zone is characterized by patches of thick bamboo forests and lush vegetation, and it is home to a number of different species of monkeys. Visitors on their Rwanda Safari tours to Nyungwe National Park can expect to see a wide variety of different animals and plants during their time there. They can also go on hikes to see some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Africa, The Diverse and Spectacular of Nyungwe Forest National park.

When I visited Nyungwe National Park in Rwanda last year with my Rwandan tour guide on my Rwandan safari tour, I was amazed by how beautiful the scenery was and how varied the wildlife was. I really enjoyed my tour of the park and my guide provided a lot of useful information about the various animals and plant life that can be found in the park. I highly recommend that you visit the park if you are ever in Rwanda!

Mount Karisimbi is the highest point in Nyungwe National Park at a height of 4507m. It is home to some of the oldest lava flows in eastern Africa and boasts lush tropical vegetation on its lower slopes. On my hike to the summit of Mount Karisimbi, I was able to see spectacular views of the surrounding landscape from the summit. I would definitely recommend this hike to anyone visiting the park, as it is a relatively easy hike and you will get to see some amazing views along the way!

Nyungwe National Park is home to many different species of plants and animals, making it one of the most diverse and beautiful parks in all of Africa. The park is home to more than 120 species of mammals, including elephants, giraffes, hippopotamuses, leopards, monkeys, baboons, antelopes, and buffaloes. It is also home to a variety of bird species, including the great blue turaco and the crowned eagle. During my visit to the park I saw many different animals during  Rwanda safaris tour of Nyungwe National Park.

Some of the unique things about Nyungwe National Park in Rwanda include its waterfalls and its Canopy Walkway. The Waterfall Trail is a popular tourist attraction because it leads to an impressive waterfall as well as scenic viewpoints overlooking the surrounding landscape. The trail begins in the Kamashibi Village on the edge of the park and passes through several different habitats before arriving at the waterfall. The Canopy Walkway is a suspended bridge that stretches across a valley and offers incredible views of the surrounding forest from a unique perspective. Visitors can walk along this walkway to reach the summit viewpoint on Mount Karisimbi or follow a series of steps down to a picturesque lake at the bottom of the valley.

Some of the best spots in Nyungwe National Park for hiking include the Mt. Visoke trail and the Chimpanzee trekking trail. The Mt. Visoke trail leads through the dense forest to the base of the mountain and then continues up the steep mountain slope to the summit. The trek is strenuous but offers some stunning views along the way. So be sure to enjoy your tour of the beautiful forest and mountains while you visit the park!
