3 Days Gorilla trekking, Lake Kivu and Culture tour is a short but fun-packed safari that will see the tourist travel to Rwanda for gorillas and other activities.
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Ruhengeri
We shall kick off the 3 Days Gorilla trekking, Lake Kivu and Culture tour and you will be met by our guide who will pick you up from your accommodation facility in Kigali. Continue the safari on a short city tour where you will visit the genocide memorial site. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Ruhengeri town for dinner and an overnight stay at 5 Volcanoes Boutique Hotel/ Mountain Gorilla view lodge
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Parc National Des Volcans
Early in the morning enjoy your breakfast and head for a briefing from the RDB officials, who will set you off for the gorilla trekking expedition. This experience of gorilla trekking is a once in a lifetime adventure that one ought to engage in. The rangers will lead you deep into the forest in search of the Gorillas.
You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures whose company you will cherish for 1 hour. Gorilla trekking activity takes 3-5 hours and finding the gorillas depends on the movement of the gorillas within the forest. When you find the gorillas you will be allowed one hour to take pictures and observe the behaviors of the gorillas. Later on, you may go for a village tour for a cultural experience with a resident local guide who will show you allowed the local communities. Return for dinner and overnight stay at 5 Volcanoes Boutique Hotel as above
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Kivu and Ibyiwachu Culture
On our final day of the 3 Days Gorilla trekking, Lake Kivu and Culture tour, you will take a visit to Lake Kivu for a boat ride on the Lake. Once you’re done with the boat cruise, go and have lunch. After lunch, you will go to enjoy Ibyi’wachu cultural tour and embark on the drive to Kigali past impressive tea plantations and arrive Kigali in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at your place of residence/accommodation or at the airport for your flight.
